Strategic priorities for the next 12–18 months

Our strategic priorities are to strengthen our digital presence, grow and engage our audience, and diversify revenue through advertising, sponsorships, and community partnerships. We are also focused on securing the talent and technology needed to sustain high-quality journalism, amplify underrepresented voices, and ensure Denver Urban Spectrum’s long-term independence and service to the community.

Securing sufficient funding to engage skilled, qualified contributors who can implement programs and digital technologies that expand Denver Urban Spectrum’s visibility, strengthen audience engagement, and support long-term sustainability.

We are excited to build on our award-winning journalism by expanding our digital presence, reaching new audiences, and deepening community partnerships. Through CMP’s support, we have an opportunity to extend our impact beyond the printed page, develop new revenue streams, and strengthen Denver Urban Spectrum’s future as an independent, community-centered publication.
