Weenuche Smoke Signals
Strategic priorities for the next 12–18 months
Talent Growth, Public Visibility, and Community Connection. Empowered Team: Guide individual responsibilities so staff can thrive and grow within the department. Public Visibility: Feature the team’s hard work directly in the newspaper for public recognition. Community Connection: Build deep, lasting relationships with the local community for years to come.
What are the biggest challenges you are navigating right now?
Having issues with money to kick-start publishing the newspaper and elders having no access to this public information.
What are the opportunities you are most excited about?
I am excited to see how things turn out with the newspaper and learn how to distribute them to the public. Maybe even learn how to allow others to pay a subscription so that we can continue to do the work we do for the community.
